I joined as to see the development of the new locally developed turboprop for lighter applications. I knew Turbaero was an Aussie company however didn’t realise it was only 25 minutes down the Rd.
I am interested in the development of the potential 120hp unit and if it may have applications as a Rotax 912is/914/915is replacement for a Sling or similar.
it’s always brilliant to see SA companies succeed and thrive

Welcome to the forum Mark - good to see another South Aussie guy in here! We appreciate the support.

At this stage, we plan to develop a smaller horsepower engine as our third model, following the 200hp Talon and a 350hp model. However, this will be a few years down the track. Do you own an aircraft, or planning on purchasing/building one?

@alecturbaero I'm planning on building a Sling2, my current plan is to go with the Rotax 914 or 912is. I can see the initial spec you had listed for the 120 is relatively close to the 914 and have an interest in learning more as development gets closer to see if it would be suitable for the airframe. Build time is pretty fluid right now given the lead times for kits etc was told my order should progress in the last quarter. I did look at the Arion before choosing the Sling and can't wait to see that flying.
